Along the Sepik River, winding its way in the Northeastern part of the country, hundreds of thousands of people must travel days in a canoe for lifesaving medical care. And in the Southern Gulf Province, the Kapuna hospital is surrounded by rugged and swampy terrain, often preventing access. The reality is stark: those who desperately need attention are left vulnerable.
