Our Work
Together, we’re reaching the unreachable in Papua New Guinea. Every life-saving medical flight opens the door for the Gospel to be shared in these remote regions.
Together, we’re reaching the unreachable in Papua New Guinea. Every life-saving medical flight opens the door for the Gospel to be shared in these remote regions.
Papua New Guinea is one of the most remote and challenging places on earth. Home to more than 10 million people and over 840 languages, 80% of the country lacks roads, electricity, and access to medical care. Samaritan Aviation serves 700,000 people in the Sepik and Gulf provinces, many living days away from the nearest hospital. Deadly wildlife, disease, and tribal conflicts make survival uncertain. In the Gulf Province, impassable rivers leave entire communities cut off from help.
Samaritan Aviation exists to bridge this gap in Papua New Guinea—turning three-day canoe trips to the hospital into one-hour lifesaving flights, delivering medicine, vaccines, and disaster relief, all while sharing the love of Jesus. Whether responding to machete wounds, malaria, or childbirth emergencies, we bring hope to the hopeless, ensuring no one is too far to receive help.
Samaritan Aviation serves the remote regions of Papua New Guinea, an island nation off the coast of northern Australia. Its dense jungles and winding rivers make access to medical care nearly impossible. Many villages are only reachable by canoe, turning a trip to the hospital into a dangerous multi-day journey.
Our seaplanes provide emergency medical flights that save lives in these remote areas. We currently operate out of Wewak in the East Sepik Province and Kapuna in the Gulf Province.
Every patient who enters our care hears the life-changing message of God’s love. Our free emergency flights open the door to share the Gospel, introducing the concept of grace—something unfamiliar in an honor-based culture where nothing comes without obligation.
In a world where debts and duties shape daily life, we offer hope through prayer, encouragement, and the reminder that God’s love is freely given, especially in life’s most difficult moments.
We give an Audio Bible to each patient who comes to our hospital. Through a Creation-to-Christ model of passages, tribes are being introduced to the Gospel message for the first time. We pray for each interaction to be a seed planted and watered by God to cultivate eternal impact for the Kingdom.
When the only hospital in the region is far away and the journey there is dangerous, those in urgent need are left vulnerable and at risk. Your generosity provides immediate, practical medical support—offering hope and opening the door to a life-changing relationship with Jesus.
