Short-Term Opportunities

We offer unique short-term mission opportunities for those passionate about making a real difference to step into missions, grow spiritually, and use their training to impact lives for eternity. While the time commitment is short, the impact is lasting. These missions are ideal for individuals looking to combine their skills with purpose in a dynamic, faith-driven environment.

Aviation
Maintenance

Approx Cost: $3,000-4,000
Location: Wewak
Trip: 2-3 people, 3 weeks

Work with our maintenance team to perform sheet metal repair and paint touch up of our floatplanes.

Gulf Expansion Building Team

Approx Cost: $3,000-4,000
Location: Kapuna
Trip: 5 people, 3 weeks.

This team will help assemble storage structures, expand/build out a floating dock for our floatplanes, fence a 1-acre property, and clear a new road from the river to the property.

Wewak Base Construction Team

Approx Cost: $3,000-4,000
Location: Wewak
Trip: 5 people, 3 weeks.

This team will use their skills in basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry to assemble kit homes to be used for staff housing.

Papua New Guinea Construction Project Manager

Approx Cost: $11,000
Location: Wewak
Trip: 3 month trips

The PNG Samaritan Aviation Pilot is an integral part of each mission by providing Emergency Life Flights, Medical Supply Flights, and ministry efforts in Papua New Guinea.

Mechanic

As a Samaritan Aviation Mechanic, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and reliability of our fixed-wing aircraft in Papua New Guinea. We’re looking for individuals ready to foster strong relationships with our team, and embody our core values.

Director of Maintenance

Lead and empower the maintenance team in Papua New Guinea as the PNG Director of Maintenance, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of aircraft for Samaritan Aviation’s vital mission. Your expertise and servant leadership will directly contribute to saving lives and making a spiritual impact in the region.

Project Manger

Drive meaningful development in Papua New Guinea as a Project Manager, expertly coordinating construction projects with efficiency and cultural sensitivity for a powerful mission. Your leadership will bring visions to life and create a tangible impact.

Pilot

The PNG Samaritan Aviation Pilot is an integral part of each mission by providing Emergency Life Flights, Medical Supply Flights, and ministry efforts along the Sepik River in the East Sepik Province (ESP).

Other roles

Medical Coordinator

The Medical Coordinator has direct oversight of all Samaritan Aviation medical-related efforts. They provide leadership for our hospital ministry, flight nurse coordination, and the distribution of medical supplies to 40+ aid posts.

Administrator

The PNG Office Administrator will oversee administrative functions to ensure efficient and consistent operations. They will support all missionary staff and provide inventory management, and facilities on-site in Papua New Guinea.

A&P Mechanics

The Aircraft Mechanic, Fixed Wing, will perform aircraft inspections and maintenance to airworthy standards that meet or exceed FAA and CAA requirements.

Aircraft Maintenance Manager

The Aircraft Maintenance Manager will ensure all aircrafts meet and exceed FAA and CAA standards so they continue to be used to execute lifesaving flights.
